We came to see Alhaji, we inform Hajiya, almost half hour before he came, Mall Inuwa Alhaji called Rainkadede, i response you guess the language it a housa which mean may he live longer. Without waste no time we get intobusiness. Your work include call to prayer, he took me to the back of the house see o no; they haven't taken the dirty away, yes i responded, i make sure you surrounding are clean, You see, said Alhaji there is alarm device in your boot, wake you up.How much do you think can purchase your uniform Alhaji asked,then i, wonder as i could not answer quickly 10,000 naira can yes sir, he counted ten thousand naira no,let it be 11, buy a torch light , boots two pears of shirt and two pears of trouser, and cutlass for your ...........my self defence , een hee, i, have finished with you,' bye.

ATRICK THAT WILL,NOT WORK

In about 9 days for to report on my new job,we held meeting first, with Alhaji Goni, blunt, are you traveling Goni asked yes i will, who did you bring to take care no body, why, because there is no money, money, if some one got a house to stay is't that enough? Goni taught , forget he continued we have prayed we will lock our gate every body can go on his holiday.the second meeting was with Asafa and Barrister, Akpai as you are traveling you should look for some one who will take care before you are back, would you pay? how much? 10,000. how much are we paying you ? you see that is the problem, the money you pay me is too poor and no one will accept it, that is all.then come Deno, you are traveling, when are you coming back, on the 15 of January may be befor you traveled my people would have come back, tomorrow as early as 4.30 am call me, we shall call motor bike to carry me to the motor park. I woke up exactly 04.14, i wanted to sleep more for before 26 min, soon it o4.44, i woke up get to Deno who was preparing, i went back to put on my cloth get back and carry one of his bag to the main road where he got a bike to the motor pack.Thank you he offer me a 5oo, i have discussed with Barrister, he talk to you thank sir, and off they go.Get back home perform abolution and get to the mosque had my prayer, got back with Salaha, iam going to wash a car., that is good, said Salaha.i have repare my iron can you by the local one, how much 500, take 300, and Salaha went a way, Opkene get me a morning fresh to wash dad's car while washing his car, he came out Akpai we have discussed with Deno he gave N2000, with my N 2000, when Goni and Asafa came i will collect their own N 2000 so you can suspend your travel, for two weeks Goni must pay this time around ok sir, i agreed if stamp that is all.

EXPERIENCE COUNTS

I could not learn electronics then may be another skill could be better, for three years i was working along with break layers what i was able to learn quickly is paint, soon i started from my viewing painters i can understand, the tricks, with mistake i become expert in painting.Come this problem of security, every little mistakes i have queries the tenant refused to give me my monthly due what shall, i, do the worst part one of them brutally order me to pack out, i pick my phone call my care taker there is fight in the house, he said i will call you later, one hour after i did not hear from him i called him once again who employ you? he asked Alhaji Isa ok can did you have the number of the tenant who is stroking you give it to me ' i, type the number, and sent to him, but i do not know what had happen at the end i,am managing , some time Asafa give me money and Barrister too, later Barrister's boys returned and i stoped washing his car so he only find time to give some money 200 once a month, as the year is running out i have secured a job and i do not want to inform any of them my plan if i resumed i will lurk up my security post they would ask why did i leave my post and i will answer did you employ me?so as to complement my landlord, who have asked me to sell the house, my next action may be by the time my land lord ask, i can inform him that i, am going on in the process if he requested me to open the door i will do.Now every one are planning for exmass travel i evacuate the waste system of Asafa, and Deno, i charge them 3000, you are a boy of the house, o, my God, i gave you 1000 what money did you request now you see says Deno Igala are not a nice people, take 500, i lough it off. thanks, i said.

BACK IN, ABUJA.

Late, Achem Ikagwu of blessed memory, he employ me to cultivate, a sift riges for yams at okodudu, i cultivated 100 hips for N100.00, i meet his son at wuse market i hardly recongnise him i suspect, he called me by my nick name [Natto] in Abocho town i,am known as kimono, by nick name it right from school we select a name we love from micheal west dictionary if you are one of the nine eleven, a school foot ball team, Inuwa kimono, i play defend position, [backman ] in Abuja i had not know nothing about job and it payments in the morning suleman or siriri black star, asked me and lawal to go to one house in the federal housing to do some work not knowing a car arrived near by hee kimono you are going to stark work , he left us and ran to the car.We try to locate a waste pipe line,in to the house we couldn't he came and demanded that i should follow him, we came to a fair black man they held talk with sule for 30 munits and sule request from me either i can dig, can you dig, kimono? why not. he is taping a water to his site , my job was to dig way for lay the pipe.

LIFE

Black star, as i use to call him, Kimono, he called me back i, and suleman has be a good friend right from our native home even i meet him in Maiduguri and both our experience was great, he welcomed me this is my madam i take a glance good morning my sister,i greeted her.the woman prepared food and sule offered me a beer,together sallah festival continued , we sat down and have a discussion Kimono do not go again. ABUJA

In 1996 i surfer a back pain that last 30 days my sister was in emotion she said you paid me a visit with sickness,soon she got me a herb very bitter i drank it for 3 days and i started getting better, it 's about for a moslem festival before the day am competelay recover and after sallah i pack my bag to Abuja. I,am going to suleman , i was taken to wuse so i used the opportunity to visit vso's office at calaber crecent Obasanjo street area 11 Abuja, i meet a beautiful tall girl who i ,m very satisfy with her manner and host she welcome me and asked me what did you want? No i hear vso is now in Abuja so i decided to come here and see for myself, you are are welcome iam Inuwa Danladi Achimugu have work with the former Field director Robin story, did know about him, oh, no, i,m office secretary for vso if you have his address you can write him. I can not locate suleman imedieteley i went to jikowyi and ask about apolo estate. but no one seemed to know the street, one lady show a shed place, there some women were selling food i order for food i was munching please madam, i,am looking for my brother i called his name look at that building go and ask.As i went to the house it is Suleman himself.

CONSOLIDATION

The year i started traveling outside Igala kingdom was when i became worried over my sister's the first she heard my coming home in september 1996 she came and left and not seen her by 1997 i set out from Ejule for Lafia, Nassarawa state, i arrive lafia, at 04.45,pm i jump into action get to the central police station and enquire , and put my bag down to shere my time with my old coleque the man i was asking is my sister's husband sgt. Jibrin you should go to the state command, let me pass night with you as it is night already no one among the police said, go and look a place not here, i was pursued out of the station i head for the motor park i asked the mai sai, can i have a place to lodge he showed me a place like a mosque i guess there i pass night i was in a terrible waiste pain. in the morning i woke up perform abolution offer my prayer off i went to the police command along Makurdi road, in Lafia i went inside some contractor were busy fixing thing to put the police office together, i went streight to the window where one officer was siting excuse me sir, i, am Inuwa Danladi, i,am asking of Jibrin who was transfer from kaduna, a driver ofcurs , thank God the office is my tribal man are you Igala yes sir my Name is Ebune iam from Idah he went through some record available and find out the Jibrin iam asking of is in wamba and he will be here for a meeting you can waite , but i,am no patient i will go to Akwanga and and find a motor to wanba. And i do but before i reached he have gone to Lafia, my hope was peherp my sister will be home, his co worker take care of me before he returns, Jibrin feel sorry for the hardship i went through but your sister is in Akwanga, and quickly we enter a bus and return to Akwanga.

IF ONE IS CLOSE

Now i have a little chance if i remained with the tenant, i liberated myself right from the time Goni punch on me, i stop washing his car, except Barrister and he must requested me to do so, and Asafa, Goni and his wife are wondering, i have contacted the caretaker then i have more confident that the tenant cannot sacked me, i started fed for myself, one afternoon i came to the mosque to perform prayer, i spot Alhaji's pick-up van outside the mosque i feel with joy, as i enter the mosque it him that is leading the prayer, my joy grew more,in fact that joy day i have no money, but with Alhaji's presence i got 1000 naira, wonderful you say, i joined them in prayer and, after the prayer Alhaji turn back and saw me he sort his eyes and open it he offered his hand for me and we shake hand, how about your interest in security job, well i said i, am very interested ok, you can start from january 1, and your salary is 10,000 naira. Soon i will leave, Barrister and Alhaji Goni palava. It appear to me as a dream, I new Alhaji is his word if i resume a security duty, surely, Alhaji will not disapoint me.

CREATIVE

I could not go and argue, with the police authority for my pension then i resolved to take any job that may come my way in 2000, i was made the security guard of a site known today as Karu court resort, near custom house karu, one funny thing the management owe me 10month salary, i leave there for another estate, in Federal housing authority[ or FHA] Karu\Nyanya, there i was lucky i was employed, and now i have just got another appointment at Gwarimpa , estate, Gwarimpa 2,iam hoping by this time next year i would raise enough money to start my basic agric service, in kogi state.

A NEW STATE.

In this edition, i, am puting together my next plan of action, the police job was not a voluntary but it condition, is not different, you will recruit and take to any where regardless the wage, who are you by the way, to say any thing, relating to welfare my most place of assignment though my home have a flowing rivers and to get water it is easy unlike my place of work you cannot have any river flowing you see one river in Lassa village Known as river yajram you will endanger your life or expose your self to diorrier , i will take my cloth for washing to the the river and wash them then go a well and que to fetch water for my drinking, this among other condition i feel i cannot live here, having decided to take to farming i have to leave for abocho, my village and Ugbedomagu where i can refer to as my farming center today iam going and boost of turnover in agriculture, can generate money annually as a earning, what i, am intrested in now is mobility as i would save 120000, annually, soon i will join my brethren in the village and live as a job creator wouldn't you join me?

THE CONCIEVE OF BAS[ Basic Agricultural Service]

I had wanted to operate farm as a company but no fisibility i was lookingfor money so it appear to me while i was in a development course i remember one Alhaji who i had a deal with when i was serving at Yunusari village i decided to write a statement and present to a provost a, department inthe Police force for an assistance what would happen, as i made way led to arrest the suspect, the provost marsal turn round and change the case to mean that i, m the culprit, decided to try me departmentally while i was pursuing the case i wanted to have organisation relating to agriculture, so when i try to have me transfer back to my council i decided to travel for kano and meet vso official, and later for kaduna to inform Graham as i,am going to start my project, i meet with terror when i was ordered for detention i protested beign a police the action is injustic, if i must not face those i have arrested in law court.i have to arbadon them and resume my Agriculture in Ubgedomagu.

CONFUSSION.

At the beginig i was a student of various correspondence school, including Exam success correspondence collage in Lagos, Business,training school, and the Writing school all in Uk before the plaque I was about to go to Lagos at the exam success to collect the course material to prepared me for a grade 2 certificate, as a result of this illness my ambition collapsed , what should i do i ask my senior on medical treatment they told me that i,am not entitle to the facility, wrote to be transfer to the then benue state, which was my state the did not move my file to the appropriate quota looking myself ruin, could not function as a police officer, i decided to go to my village where i could be secured, and see if i could put a claim to the force headquaters , i asked a lawyer mr. David Agono, he told me that he will present my application for a further study.

DEFENCE

In all of the procedure, both recruit, training, first posting just everything in police personels, you would not have any document to show as evidence , like appointment letter posting etc, so i was taken from my local government in dekina to a place i cannot imagine like yunusari, where i was given a house where donkey and horse are kept i looked up toward heaven but i can not fly, but i took heart gradually i became fermilier with the village,later that year there were millitary coup,and soon there was devaluation of Nigeria currency and i august i was transfer out of Yunusari back to Geidam, in January 1984 i was transfer to Askira\uba divisional police HQs three weeks later i was moved to Lassa village, in the present Borno state in 1986 i caught plaque my lip swallow which landed me in the Lassa general Hospital given twelve injections but could not relief the decease have caused my lip a paralise and defame my left sight, the hospital could not find solution i found the the solution by application of roots introduces to me by a woman whom was a contractor she gave food to suspects in the police custody she offered me the roots and after three days of applications i, became better.

Carrier

I, am one of 10 person selected for recriutment into the Nigeria police for in may 1982 in Dekina, by then Benue state, after the exercise that last 4 hours, we were ordered to hire a bus to Markurdi being the capital for further process . i have to back hope to inform my parent that i have be recruited and we are ordered to hire a bus so i came for some money my Brother Alhaji Kashim, my Dad Alhaji Yahaya gave me 70kobo, and i return to Dekina to contribute for our transport for Makurdi, that day was the day transport workers are striking so we were delayed in Ankpa John Ejiga was hurt on his lip by the angry members of the union, before some well to do in Ankpa intervened soon we were allowed to go ahead for Makurdi, we arrive the police hqs, and we were taken to a primary school as a camp, before we could be issue with with a warrant for a train, for Maiduguri in the evening we were called to the headquaters and then taken to the rail way station, later the train came and we are allocated into one coach , the train delayed for some hour and later we set off the makurdi railway station, the from Makurdi to Maiduguri on a train took us more than 3 days before we arrived Maiduguri, soon on our arrival the rail way authority informed the police collage that recruits as we were call, have arrive so a lorry was sent to the rail way station to covey us down to the police college.On our reaching the college premise they make a role call , and then we were sent to one empty upstir where everyone choose a bed for himself before we are schooded and issued us with a  Tshirt short nicker a kits, ready for the training.that last six months.

WAITING FOR THE TIME

Since i was finally handed over to the tenant, each time i pay a visit to Maitama stores, the Genaral manager Alhaji Abdulahi Mohammed will say, we, are coming to your area, of which he will never come a surprise indeed at 0615pm, i came out to go to the mosq, whom do i saw in a car like of the Alhaji Goni's car was no one but GM,i sough hoooooo, ya Alhaji you are here , Akpai as he used to call me, he slight back and reach his hand to his pocket let me give you Sallah gift, and he soot me 1,000, since the commencement of the building to it finishes Abdulahi have never visit his project,only the engineer, who he trusted, but today he have come along with one of the officer from the development control of the FCDA, federal capital development authority, Alhaji Inuwa, he did not come to see any of the tenant but me and the property, but the prayer is almost and he said , you can go to the mosq, i saw them passing away while i was performing abolution.

A SHOP OR OFFICE

I requested by mama Buki to search for a shop, around the the estate. and when i find a placard with a house for rent call a number as you can imagine quickly i reach to my phone and dialed some body picked it up and i asked him where can i locate for further discussion about his shop, he directed me to powa plaza along mararaba keffi road. he gave me time when i returned to my post i didn't get to mama Buki but she call me and asked me how am i, go on with search for a shop for her, o yes i said madam i have jump into action, it in powa plaza. that is good go with my Brother and verify , so we went to powa plaza, while we are on going, i reach to my phone and call my client and asked informed him we are on the way to his office and he inform me to come to the UBA, we trek and reaching the entrance we spot the people are you the one yes we enter into their office and business commenced, give a form to fill and pay N1, 500, on completing the for they took us to the next block, and show the office available, but did not allowed us to enter because the owner is not around but how shall we be certain, well, one of them reply, it is as the same as the one you fill your form then we go back to the office and look in it and we were satisfy we returned but mama Buki's brother says we should go on bike.

PRAYER

You must thank God, because you have a place to stay. This comment of Alhaji Goni is not understood i continued to research to come to a term with Ahaji Goni's comment. Prayer is a way of communicating with God, in the Bible there is the Lord's prayer; which says our father who art in heaven hallow be the name your kingdom come as it is in heaven give us this day our daily bread for give us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us and delivered us from evil. Every tribe all over the world have a way of prayers, in Igala language we call God Ojo, mighty God Ojo chamachalla Ojo bumine, Means ; God help me, Ojo agba mumigba, uwe uma uwe nabi, ke che mi ogahala, means; God you only i know help me and forgive me my sin.In a situation of Alhaji Goni he like me to take me to be the God, this his idea simply meant so.the are four in number i, am the only security guard in the house, let say he put it this way, the work in this house is too much for only you, let us employ one or more person to assist, i can simply understand the statements, every day i wash this gentle man's car for just like that, and his comment about me does not tend to improve my condition of service, like one small girl that is entering your room her father will trace you one day after washing of the car i sweep the compound clear grasses around the estate, for a one thausand naira, according by him i,am enjoying one bed room, but it is not Goni's house it is my landlord's house, who told me when i was in the house as a house keeper before it was rented to them, chairman as we used to call Hon. Isa Hassan, you are going to remained in the house till everything are completed you can now transfer to the security boot we will take care of you. at the end the house has been completed he spoke through the Gm. Ahaji Abdulahi we have finished with you since people have occupy the house we are not going to pay you as we use to, get them and agree with each other if you would render any service the will take over your salary. and they as the same time informed them [tenant] that they should continue to pay me a salary, and the tenant called me and told me that they are going to assist me with one thounsan naira as a salary if i like i should remained with them, i  agree on the condition that i can perform duty during the night only,the pay the money through out 2010, only in 2011 complaining from all quoter as regard to my duties, i must respect everyone in the house including their children, but Goni have ceased from paying me, since the begining of 2011.

AMORA LEE

This is a story about Yahaya Alhassan [ alias] Amora lee, we started schooling together so we grew up not just a school mate but brothers, it is a blessing because after school, we both have not able to further to secondry school, but Amora lee have employment with Ayangba Agricultural Development Project, while i was a way to Kano, till i returned home and take a job with a timber company Ele ojo sawmilling company, situated at Inachalo , there we came to meet with Amora lee since we parted from school in 1975, we both were happy, we enjoy life in Idah i have be of finance assistance to Yahaya till he was transfered to Ayanbga and continued in Idah as was roling on one day i find myself in Ayangba, and joined Amora lee once again, i told Amora that i have graduated as an operator just let find a saw mill to get a job but there no saw mill in Ayangba at that time them i suggested we have to go to ejule and we get a saw mill then we enquired and we get an arrangement with one contractor who we bargain for a job at unspecify place and then amora left for Ayangba and i remained with my contractor who took me to my home as area he had a job for me. one important thing the man fail to note was my personal detail, having landed me in Ajegu everybody was calling me by name and he was surprised we move to Ofoda my Mother's home town, where we are going to fell the timber, it was against the villager's will because of their shirine but on seeing me, they called me in cojuction with my mother's name and they feel merciful and does not stop me from felling the wood, unfortnately we have no permit and forest officers apprehended the planks neverthless my machine was fulted and i left for Abocho where i was invited for interview, into the Nigeria police force, arouind that years i left Amora Lee in 1982 to say we came face to face again, in 2010 and it is like a revolution both of us have aquired a hand set so we count our blessing to see in our life communication revolutions he is in Lokoja while iam in Abuja.During the general election in april we were on phone later i lost yahaya's contact, when i try to relocate him i couldn't i called unto Mohammed in Makurdi, who also have yahaya's new phone number i missed yahaya Amora Lee for 8 months is not easy.

LIVING FOR THE DAY.

I have arrived in the situation where i will apply my experience, a woman was acting in a maner, to determines my action, she position herself, probably as a prove of finance asset, i quickly revived my experience when i was friending one lady when i was in the police force at Geidam, now, yobe state when she was preginated and she cocealed the priginat and instead announced to me, if i did not get weded to her now she would not get intercourse with me any more, and  she delivered the baby to another father, the woman iam trying to link with the event one Hajiya a wife to one of the tenant, at my place of work, was requesting me to clean her car without xtra pay while they are contributing to pay me she would be using me as her house boy, i resisted she complained to her husband instead of her husband Alhaji Goni to ask from me the Goni whom have turned me to his house boy, called a meeting to ask me my duty as a security guard, answering the question with my police experiences i do not find difficult to answered, [ simple protection of life and properties] though unlike the police i just put it in other way, iam arround and see if needed i can assist whatever brabra-----you are not doing your work said the Barrister, i came back from often you are not around to open gate which is offence number one. He concluded, well, if you observed anytime you did not meet me may be it is prayer time, i defended. no Goni came in you cannot leave your post and go to mosq,iam working with a minister and there is mosq in our office yet we never go out of office we pray in our office, But i disagree with him.

INFRACTRUCTURE

At last my decision to return to site and start production have began, iam not relay heavely on promise by friend and well wisher, i devise my plan, i have concluded the whole arrangement, my farming as i have been praticing in Abuja, with planting of beans in Karu, on the plot that is housing Karu reshort, and maize arround plot available at federal housing estate, and avaible result in the price of maize in the market, is encouraging, currently , iam experimenting on a suya beans, and a tuber crops of deferent variety, by april 2012, i will commence on my permnet site.

SALLAH, and it associated problems.

It is in the evening, about to to break fasting i would have to stop at Ugbabo and take a car to Abocho, but change my mind instead i will go Anyigba to visit Akpai one of my brother at ochadamu, it was time to break the fasting i bougth a pure water chachet i have some orange too, my fasting break was sucessfull,and share the orange among my fellow in the car i am travelling and they appreciated.I cannot locate Akpai house as it was too long a go that i last visited him i called him by my mobil and told him that i cannot locatehis house he should come to a timber shade and picked me, i remained there over and hour before he call and asked me to come down to the junction at Abocho morto park.near mai soya, stayed there nearly an hour before Akpai came on his motor bike, i asked him to sit down and let have the roasted meet together before we get home could you believe the he has a quarel with his wife over a comment the wife made when Akpai bougth a sallah shirt to his late wife son , She told Akpai tha why did you bougth for the boy only, it provocked him to the extend that apkai suspended his wife from cooking sallah food thank for my coming i meduiated and sttled both of them and he the pot he  ceased back to his wife. HAPPY SALLAH.

IF "WE" DO"NT "HAVE TIME FOR PRAYER

Edl-kabir is the prayer to mark the end of the 30 days Ramadan fasting, unlike the usal prayers, moslim faithful gathered at an open field to offer a two raka'at, prayer led by an imam. I travelled home to join my brothers , sons, sisters, and douther.to celeberate the sallah festival.and to see my sister's douther who have not be fine over a month, ileft federal housing estate to zuba to joined a bus  to Lokoja their fare was very cost compared to that of Karu to Ugbabo, N900 to Lokoja N200 for a bus that took me to zuba, i will stop over in Itobe, then Lokoja to Itobe is N500. I spent more money on transport this time compare to previouse one which i just pay N100 to ugbabo unfortnately my sister was not at home only one of her douther who was preparing for breaking of the fasting, she welcomed me she went down on her kneel rised up and collected my bag to my sister's house where her father was resting on hearing my voice he came aut in the palour Omatai welcome, it is like am, dreaming  how was your journny? he asked me, fine i said, as we are in fasting , no need for water o, yes than you.After some time, i asked about the condition of his dougther he informed me that she has been taken to a native Doctor immediately he said the information i jumped up and grabed my bag and said iam going to Abocho tommorrow i will be going there.

WELCOME RAMADAN

Iam prayig God that as it is be told of the prophet of God whom God gave the quran, and the truth contained in it about peace, love, and it also show in it that the creator does aware of porverty, and wealth, so the quran request the riched one to assist those who do not have or who are not rich he stated that all people to be a moslim you are to obeserve five dailly prayers namely ;1 Subhu,2Azhur, 3 Asr 4, Megrub,5 ISa'a. Another obligations as a moslim is to obeserve Fasting which is Ramadan, and traveling to Mecca if one is able, we fasted from the begining of augost, so it is espected to be completed 30 days, so every day during fasting of ramadan are important. and God will reward who ever desired to observes ramadan fasting, The Last Friday pray in ramadan is very imprtant too, i wish to atend it with a hope nothing should hindered me, only rain what should i do in the situation, i; decided by the the grace of God to travel to Wuse central mosq, as rain will disrupt the Karu\Nyanya. I might not have write about Alhaji Isa the Landlord, when one day Abdulahi A agent came to me and told me that my orga want to sell his house and me iam part of the deal and now, we want to clean the mark by development comtrol with a red pain remove. Did have paint ? Abdulahi enquired, no i don't ok he went and make arrangement with one man he is now dead [ may his soul rest in peace] who got a paint the man came and painted the area of the mark not knowing the paint was a substandard, when rain fel it wash off.. Alhaji Goni is a tenant, he was not inform, today after a year Mikail, gave me a job to do to clear the blockage of the toilet system., i does it remained the cover of the slab, so i aske Mikail to pay the money or i will not continue, he refused to pay so i went and call a police woman on duty to come and witness the level of work before i demanded for money unless he pay or the job will stand. Goni was calling me his house boy when he heared me southing he wanted to disgrace me who painted the fence, the owner of the house, who is the owner he enquired iam no you are not the owner of my house, i will deal with for calling yourself my caretaker, it around the time for breaking ramadan fasting 'as i was saying i was preparing my tea, this man punch on my lip grab my vest and ture it.

THE BIRAIDU COUNCIL

I have set to back to Abuja, one thing was that i only heared that road exit to Lokoja, from Abocho,it started from Ajakeya, through Ibobo and Achigili, according the some spectators, Achigili is part of of ofu local government council, what i knew is that Achigili is in Biraidu district, so today as iam going let me see things for myself, I gave money to my boy go and get fuel for the machine you taking me to Itobe to see Alikeju, my senior brother said the road is very Dangerouse, the went for the fuel while i stay and wait  for some time now as a demand for the creation of a local government accross Nigeria, Biraidu was demanded, by the community with Abocho as it head quater.although the former Governor of Kogi state Prince Abubakar Audu created a local government but were not recongnised by the federal government, therefor the newly created local government have financial backing to function., and as surch colapsed. in my own personel view is neccessary for the people of biraidu district to be up-graded to a local government council, but one was saying how dekina could be split along it community, by thing on the ground, there are community at the other side who share the same opinion, as to dividing of the Dekina's equity, it depend on the financial viable of each communities, concerned. The villages i have never visited include Akpobi, oforjor and down to Achigili Along itobe in ofu local government council.

I visited my brother along Ofafu road , he was still sleeping as a result of ramadan his wife was sitting with her  neighboure, good morning ' i greeted them, where is your husband she glace at me with a smile, welcome sir, he is in I walk into a large room and saw him still sleeping in a joking tone i asked him is the room not too much for you he woke up and find me before him right in his paloure and smile at me and he said , when did you arrived? yesterday ofcurse, how is your place iam fine.soon we started the discussions, i; first of asked him How about politic in the village he raised and sat down then he said , there is nothing for Abocho now Adejo brought me from Abuja after he successeded, as a chairman Dekina LGC, and placeed me in transport section of which we performedm better than now there were fiew buses and i xcan tell you we does well.until the end of his tenure nothing is on the ground look at entire Dekina crises, over multy party system The National assembly election was worn by ANPP, but can you imaging becouse PDP is in power they declared their candidate as at now they are at tribunal.

Weeds have grown above the mango trees the casew and the palm trees are now under a bush on my reaching the farm i could not believe it the four hectre casew mango and palm tree where i used to refare to as the basic agricultural service, has been taken over by bush. My next journy was Ugbedomagu, after the Ramadan break, i asked my junior Mohammad, whether his is around so that i can travell with it to ugbedomagu. it is not good it is with the mechanic it has caprator problem, tell Nuhu, and fuel his machine and he can take you. so i did soon we started for ugbedomagwu on our way Nuhu's method of acerelating gwuuuuuuuuuu  hooo, so i don'nt like that way so i asked him to stop, i can give him a leason i got the machine and i started can you hear the engine that is how i want you to move, ha, papa, if we go on like this we will not reach ugbedomagu then i increased the speed, but my argument is gwuuu, huuu  it's wrong.ok let me take on from here.that was as wre are aproaching the high way, we came to Ugbedomagwu, at 11pm, there was my uncle under a tree immedietely he saw me he broke into a tear of joy.I as Nuhu to take a gericane to Mariyam, while i shall be chating with my uncle, How are you and the place you work? my uncle asked me, fine i said.Oboy took the machine from Nuhu and took it to some place and for a long time we keep waiting later Oboy came Nuhu saw him before me see him is just coming.i was very annoyed, take the key from him. It hapened he got accident but he did'nt wound only some part of the machine spoile and not all seriouse, so Nuhu asked Oboy whether Oboy have ever see he involved in accident with his machine, as the mater seemed prolong , give me the key and i slot it and sat sit and let go.

THE JOURNY BEGAN

I started my journy from my house i get a motor bike otherwise knwon as okada and took me to the Karu motor park. it was a bus so i feel o, why did i come now when shall this bus take off, soon somebody holding a paper and a pen came and asked me where are you going ? are you the owner of the bus o yes, iam travelling for Ayangba, i said, no, unless you stop at ochadamu and i said instead why not ubgabo, ok' your fare is one thousand naira.i put hand in my pockrt and removed one thausand naira note take and he write a reciept and give it to me, since you are not going now let me have a drug from the chemist, you can do so he replied.Before i came back the bus have more passengers then i entered and sit in the bus every one started sitting and two more seat left, before you know, two people came who want to travel for Ajakuta. We took off and left karu park 10pm, we were to go through zuba only that the road around Aso drive was blocked by the construction company that enable us to corner and take lugbe root, on reaching Gwagwalada, some of the women asked the driver to stop where farm produce are on display, there i bougth garding egg.we arrive ugbabo at 4am. I find a mosq and a car and as there were no enough passenger i decided to pray.Infact my journny was successfull, i was welcomed by my senior brother and his children. As is a ramadan time no need for drinking water, i gave it was two separate bags i gave one to my senior brother and his familly and the other to the wife of my junior'brother's wife and the rest of the people including other children who troup in aur house to welcome me.

A CHALLENGE

I apreciated what mr Daniel have been offering me, when he offered me a one thounsand naira note immedietly  i finished washing his car, i spoke emotionally, o, orga, it's too much. he noded his head, and say no that is my life you help me and cleaned my car, i' have to reward you. Thank sir. i remarked. one favour i will ask you please what is that he enquired o, yes sir, i wanted to travel home to see my parent, is that do not worry, when you are ready to go let me know. That is Mr Daniel otherwise known as babamaraba, he is a stable humanbiegn i ever live to know.My people have refused to pay me the money i bagain as a security in their house why becouse i refuse to washes their car, in this time of growing economy, where in the are they pay a salary of N4000.00 per month [four thounsand naira] unfortnately the house the landlord have give it to me to sale, for to keep mind and soul together, i agreed to stay in the security boot and render a security job, there is no ground for them to asked me to leave the house if i did not agree becouse i accept if the can employ a securityman while i stay becouse iam a caretaker, and i have my skills the houer iam living is ment for a security guard, my skill include 1, painting, 2 washing a car and the last 3, i,m a drycleaner. two weeks later, mr, Daniel call me and asked me to remind him befor 28th. on the 28th, when i came to remind him he was busy answering phone call. and i have to go and came back later.

DECLARING

Iam using this opportunity to conratulate all volunteer in Nigeria, Abuja or everywere in Nigeria, for their participation in developement activity of the government, I cannot find a word to describe my appreciation about developement undertaken by variouse organisation, under vso, in a situation, of privatisation policy, you hardly could measure the quantity of contribution individual companies have brougth to aleviate porverty in Nigeria iam reporting they organisation are doing well in term of face lift, what about power or energy, water to mention but a fiew. I believe since you are doing what is on the ground now you can do more, to mention your work here is construction of roads around Abuja and ply/over and dualijation of other road like Abuja /Lokoja. I must refare to the construction company as a volunteer, for the fact that i Inuwa of Nigeria did not have any equipment in china, Germny. and US Than you very much.

STROGGLE FOR SURVIVAL

After the job, i got into truoble my house formerly after some months three- four months and i request for money we are oweing you four months the Barrister will asked me, before you know it he will contact his neiboure Akpai need money everyone will bring his money. Now i have observed there is superiority tendency, when Alhaji who i,m mostly serve quickly gave a fairly usad jumpa, Take i dached you. Ihank you i said. Runing to six months no money for me how about my salary sir I' asked Barrister, your salary do'nt worry on saturday we will see . Saturday have past, i requested for my monthly salary, only to drive through the gate and handed me N200 only A funny for two weeks i have be a way and when i came back i tenderd appology but it was not accepted, i was surfering of eye infection i asked Denor for my salary he told me that they are no longer going to pay me acording by him, you have got another job and that is good you will get big money than ever. i said that is not i used to go out for a job for your N4000 monthly is not enough, that is good he said, now iam surfering please lend me four hundred naira he call his doughter and asked her to bring the four hundred on the bed for Akpai. i work harder than ever before in the house all dirty around the house are swept by me when i returned after my job i met the copound very fleet, i cleared it and up till today i have not give up sweeping the house.

CONFIRMATIONS

One day i get in quarel with one of my co worker as we were exchaging words he tpld me that he was the one who charmed me becouse iam a strong head man,i reported him to the station offier, and after he lestened to both of us , he concluded that he rather transfer the case to the Dpo for final decision the police man as i wanted to take the case with witness, in order to claim damage, my dpo ask him to apologise to me,.

CONFIRMATIONS

I meet Edumon Tolan , My name is Edunmon Tolan, iam a volunteer, i teach marths at the Government day secondry school. Becouse of my aquatance with whitemen my seen a whiteman in a typical village was a fun,To me my name is Inuwa Danladi i,m a police officer atached to this police post. nice to meet you, Edumon is tall and huge several time we meet before i say any thing even greeting , he will strench his hand to me for shaking, iam going to the college to teach. it shows me that he is a very dedicating volunteer. Some of the time, i, too am going to work. One mr Edumon went to the ploice and lodge a complaint about thief who stole his sweden Army knife, on my reporting for duty the case was refare to me i went to him in his house and told him iam going to investigate and find out the criminals.

CONFIRMATIONS

The manner Alhaji Tijani and the Tiv boys treated me in respect of the N13,000 made me not to trust some people anymore.Too, George, Leo's brotherwas entirely different, for me to trust some to the extend of handing him a huge sum of money to deposit it in my account, and failed as well.This my reason for supporting the movement for creation of Okura state. I survived acerssination and eventually i was transfered to Geidam the divisional head quaters and later to Askira\uba, at that time i have almost completed my writing curse waiting for my diploma, then i made arrangment with Geidam post office to transfer all my mailto my new station in Lassa i was at the same time planing to travel to lagos to collect lecture with exam sucess corespondence college for my grade 2, certificate evetually, i got sick which lasted foe a whole year.when i recovered my decision was no longer there.

We meet and i asked the gentleman to repeat what he told me, he cracked his throet, and began Alhaji, i have told you befor that in the next two week i will come back with your money, so everybody stop talking, then i broke in has he told you , but why did't he came to me on his arrival, and if both of you are truthfull Alhaji why you did not send for me?, Alhaji smiled and take a casual lookon his client, and say sorry i did a mistake. ok, by the way, my friend are sure you are coming tell us the date two weeks from now.

It is true, not quite longer some of my colegue's brother came to visit him and we meet in  a joint where we relax after work, and after some bottle i requested for more for my guess, soon gist commenced, that the expired money can be exchange, but the diference is a hundred naira now goes for fifty kobo, iam very happy over the latest news after our merry, i went to my quater, then call the owner of the money and passon the news across to him, we concluded that they have to carry the money and exchage, the sum of N13,000.00 for N7,000.00, i wrote an agreement to stand, as a witness, What will happened? this two gentle men did not comeback untill i inform their brother, about the matter, Their brother might have contacted them, one week later they are here, one funny thing they din't came to me instead they went to the owner Alhaji Isa, they only came to me that they didnot came with the money but told the owner that inother to no fear in the next two weeks they are coming with the money. But i disagreed unless we get to the owner and we both sat down and agree together

THE FACT ABOUT MY INITIATIVE.

It is not too long befor i, started noticing the importance of money, in the 80's when i was learning the writing skill at the writing school,as a bank customer, and influencer, i have a big access to first bank, unfortnately those i trusted have disapointed me all my correspondence fees was transacted through the branch of the first bank,It made me known to the accountant to the extend that i stay and eat in the Leo's house. Leonard Leketi, we called him Leo.His junior brother became my best friend, becouse of my confident in Leo, i thougth his brother wiould resprocate, i gave him the sum of N13,000.00 to pay into my account, and i left for my station, untill two weeks later i returned to Geidam to my surprise george Leo's brother did not carry my money to the bank, and it has expired, the period for the currency exchange was over, that is how my problem started,i cannot see George and i did not give him this money in the present of Leo, i cannot argue but you can see how my trust in some one landed me in an unimaginable situation. Now iam not the owner of the money, what would i tell the owner, become my next plan. If i can tell them that their money was not deposited in the bank they would need it so i carried the money, to the owner but he asked me to keep it with me , according by him i am important to hold as iam expose to news.

ONE VICTORY LEAD TO ANOTHER>

I got a relieve of sigh, though i do'nt gain any thing aut Alhaji'sN 60,000.00 painting contract, it is a joy for me as i put a finished torsh, two weeks ago. i was expecting him to offer me a gift for a job weldone.I came to his residence soon after i came down from the site to see him , he asked me emotionally about the last paint which showed a deferent from the previouse one. but not that the big glass-door was break, and it would cost him another N10,000.00 . I will investigate, becouse no glass was broken during my time and i have not noticed anything damaged, in your house, unfortnately, there was no credit in my hand set i would confirm, immediately.Ok Alhaji, set the glass and the little diference of paint aside, and brought another topic, this time, there are some places i left which need to be painted' so he requested me to show the following day to get to the site he will show me.

The change people started to notice, in me just after genaral election, i stop washing car for Alhaji Goni as i, used to. iam concentrating with Alhaji Sani who gave a sixty thaunsand, contrct, not as a result of that, Alhaji Goni, is simply behave inhuman, Just look, iam a volunteer to say staying in a security boot in a house of four, each of them contribute to pay me every month but Goni takes me as his house boy he often spoken about me going about a litte lady that made me helpless, in my ego. making look inferior. Stoping washing his car will signal to him that iam not apreciate, his attitudes toward me, to keeping me going, i often wash orga Maraba's car, he used to pay me above Goni and his counterpart four time every month, Alhaji Sani has travelled, so after working for some time the paints have finished, which delayed the work for two weeks and i, have to be relocated to my boot it hapened Barrister, goni's friend have arrive from election, formally they use to treated me with sack, but they cannot becouse it my master who is landlord so the are tenant and as they are not paying me well i must use my skill to liveon., barister's wife on spoting me yesterday quickly inform her husband that i have complaine that both you her husband and goni are not paying , both of them break into loughter. i went to one of their colique, over kapenter and the aircondition box. the way the kapenter made the a box was not good as at yesterday and now he has adjusted it i,m surposed to punch it and hang the aircondition but they familly said they have a guess.
