Okura state.;and it economic importance , the agitation for creation of Okura state is as old as Nigeria,or point of reference ; Benin city in the midwestern Nigeria.According by late Daniel Ogbadu, and i quot we sed okura for kwara in 1966 while we were working in the Northern Nigeria, as that time , unquot, Igala Native authority which is like the current state , has her capital at Idah. Okura is as old as Enugu, Ibadan, and kaduna state to mention but a fiew.During the split of the former Region into 12,states, there was a concession between the northern nigerian government, to merge Ilorin with the kabba province to be kwara state some of the igala native authority who were also a regional ministers return to their newly division, the igala native authority was splited into three division namely, a, I dah,b, Dekina and c, ANKPA DIVISIONS, This three divisions grew into 9 local government today.by virtue of creating Okura state aut of present kogi state, the young state stand a chance of creating more 9 local governments with strong economic base, Okura has a vast agricultural land and some minerals spreading across the state , there higher institutions including the state University , Federal polytechnic and college of Education., we speak Igala, and Bassa, including Ibos, in the eastern part, christainity Native, and Islam are the main religion 'cheating,' How many people did you think can cater for them self in term of personal welfare?very fiew of course, In a village of if you would ask people to make a contribution of money, toward purchasing equipments to sink a bore hole , very few and now you are into subsidiary, deregulation and privatization etc, who are you intended to help? no one but instead the riches grow more rich and the poor grow poorer Those in place of authority took the advantage to enrich them self through corruption, The average Nigerian keep faith struggling to meet up with the change the adversity imposed as a result of petroleum price hike and other policy by government aim at revitalizing the Nation;s economy become suicidal to the people who elected them, unless we begin to introduce a policy base on our sovereignty.

BIRAIDU LOCAL GOVERNMENT
bubakar Audu and lokoja is coming alive again since it was abadorned many years ago folllowed the depature of the colonial masters, i, not find any thing to keep me in Lokoja, before then Abocho road was deplorable though Abocho has a local Government status and yet it still under Dekina, Govrnor Abubakar Audu's administration was the first to construct road folllowed up grading the Biraidu district to a Local Government , visiting the secreteriant at Ajekeya Abocho, the wonderful uncomplet building, is a land mark achievement by the Prince, with on going reviewing of the constitution i,m hope that creation of a Local Government should be a priority , Biraidu local Government if approved, has abaudant human and economic resource. we produces palm carnnels , palm oil, and can as well rear a life stock, veterinary, etc, I,am jus committed to creation of Biraidu Local Government council.
